Certain materials, such as asbestos, oil, printing inks, solvents, chemicals, clinical waste, electrical or electronic equipment (WEEE) have been classified as hazardous waste, requiring specialised removal and disposal routes. The list of hazardous waste materials is constantly being revised with the introduction of new legislation.
