The Skippy SWMP Plan service is up and running

Starting a new contract is always a troubling time to get everything organised for the start date. Skippy Nationwide can help with this with a bespoke approach to your Site Waste Management Plans.

As you will know, all projects worth £300K + require a site waste management plan to be submitted and retained on site. The site waste management plan (SWMP) became law in July 2008 where the EA stated these plans were to be used for the consideration of removal and reduction of waste from sites.

For a minimal fee Skippy Nationwide can create and manage a bespoke approach for the requirement of the SWMP. Taking away the responsibility and administration time from the project manager.

Skippy will invest our time and extensive knowledge to reduce costs where applicable and set up your site in order to create best practice for the waste management for all types of site.

• Monthly / Weekly site visit to ensure correct paperwork and best practice on site

Skippy Nationwide work closely with their clients, an example of our approach is how we have recently assisted Border Oak. Border Oak asked Skippy to manage their SWMP on site so that they can show they adhere to best waste management practice for their existing and potential customers that Border Oak approach

 

Skippy attended a pre-contract meeting to discuss the requirements and restrictions for waste removal off site and then set up a SWMP to enable as much segregation at source as possible. Skippy then attended site within the first week of the start of the contract to liaise with the contract manager ensuring there was an understanding on how the systems put in place need to operate to achieve the SWMP targets

Skippy serviced the site with general, wood, plastics, cardboard and hazardous waste containers, saving money by segregating the recyclables at source wherever possible.
